A 2455 (Benson, Pinkin, Vainieri Huttle, DeAngelo) NJEA supports this innovative grant program to give students a unique opportunity to experience science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in action. What’s more, introducing students to this type of competition may uniquely motivate students to pursue careers in these fields. The benefits of a hands-on experience cannot be overstated. NJEA believes this program could provide an opportunity to increase interest in these fields and looks forward to seeing the results of the pilot program.
