Requires health benefits coverage for adolescent depression screenings
A 3548 (Lampitt) This bill would require health benefits coverage for juvenile depression screenings. NJEA believes in the importance of mental health for children. Mental health is as important as physical health, and coverage for mental health should be equal to that of coverage for physical health issues.
Children who are experiencing depression cannot learn to the best of their ability. Adolescent depression screenings will help identify those who need services and get them the treatment they need.
NJEA supports this bill and asks that you do the same.
