Urges Congress to address in future federal higher education stimulus legislation inequities in incorporation of part-time and online learning students in formula calculation

SR 91 (Weinberg, Pou) While NJEA is appreciative of the federal recovery efforts provided for education, this resolution shines a light on one glaring inequity that must be corrected in any subsequent federal funding.  In particular, the recovery funding created disparities between institutions with greater full-time enrollment and those with more part-time students, greatly affecting New Jersey’s county colleges.  The resolution urges Congress to rectify this disparity to ensure that this will not recur in the future.

NJEA asks that you vote “yes” on SR 91.
