S 2162

Requires public schools, and nonpublic schools which receive federal funding, to provide students with information on rights afforded under Title IX, and provide contact information for Title IX coordinator

S 2162 (Kean, Ruiz) NJEA believes that a diverse society provides equal access and opportunity for all students as a civil right, regardless of any physical or mental impairment, ethnic or racial heritage, sexual orientation, or other distinguishing characteristic. This legislation requires public and nonpublic schools that receive federal funding provide students with information on Title IX rights, as well as provide contact information for the Title IX coordinator for the school. By providing this necessary information, schools will ensure that all students are aware of their equal access rights to education programs and activities.

NJEA urges you to SUPPORT S 2162.
