Creates special education unit within the Office of Administrative Law; requires annual report
S3759 (Addiego, Corrado) Currently, the judges hearing special education cases do not have to have background is special education law. This creates a burden to districts and families to educate the judge about the law and recent cases. Additionally, there is always a backlog of cases due to a lack of available court dates. Delays do not benefit students. This bill seeks to address these issues.
