Petitions federal government for emergency response funding to support safe reopening of schools following COVID-19 pandemic

ACR190 (Caputo, Lampitt, Jasey) As school districts across the state prepare for the school year this fall, the health and safety of our students and staff is paramount. Though federal funding for pandemic relief was made available to districts through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), it is far from what is necessary. Therefore, NJEA supports efforts to petition the federal government for additional funding so that educators and students may have the resources they need to safely resume school.
