Requires school report card to include information concerning number of mental health professionals and security personnel employed by each school district

S 2811 (Singleton, Ruiz) NJEA supports S2811, which would require information concerning the number of school psychologists and security personnel employed by school districts be included on the New Jersey School Report Card. NJEA also greatly appreciates the sponsor’s amendment to include the numbers working in school of other mental health professionals, including social workers, guidance counselors and student assistance coordinators (SACs). By requiring school districts to provide information regarding all mental health professionals and school security officers, the public will have access to useful and more comprehensive data regarding their schools.
