Establishes five-year community schools pilot program

A 1055 (Jasey, Lampitt, Zwicker) NJEA strongly supports the community schools model.  Guiding community schools is the recognition that schools should be at the center of our neighborhoods and that educational outcomes are best accomplished when we consider the whole child. There is already a lot of great work being done by NJEA members across the state with respect to community schools.  This bill builds upon that success and will help to provide additional support to this productive and collaborative model that benefits not only children but also the community.
