Expands bonding authority of New Jersey Educational Facilities Authority to permit financing for general funding needs of New Jersey’s institutions of higher education

S 4020 (Gopal, Cunningham) NJEA supports the bill and appreciates the sponsors’ effort to ensure that our institutions of higher education, and especially our county colleges, have opportunities to finance facility improvements. New Jersey’s county colleges have been chronically underfunded and do not get their share of state funding. With so many challenges facing our county colleges, this bill would help alleviate some financing concerns so the colleges can continue their focus on educating students.
