A 1271 (Stanley, Rooney) The best way for students to become participants in democracy is to be engaged starting at an early age. This bill allows students in grades 6-12 to participate in civic events once a year without any attendance ramifications. Allowing students to experience government or other civic events will deepen their understanding of government and strengthen their involvement for their lifetime.
