A 280 S 525: Enhances and allocates funds for pre-apprenticeship programs

A 280 (Umba) S 525 (Ruiz, Singleton) As students seek post-secondary opportunities, it is important there be opportunities other than four-year degrees. Pre-apprenticeship programs provide students with these opportunities. Youth Transitions to Work programs help young people enter apprenticeship programs with links to post-secondary education and credentials, which provide them with jobs. Increasing funding for these programs will help students get the skills they need to enter apprentice programs, thus enabling them to enter the workforce as skilled employees.
