Requires State to enter into contract for COVID-19 related goods and services for purchase by school districts
A 4461 (Lampitt) As the COVID-19 pandemic continues and schools prepare for the new school year, the health and safety of students and staff is paramount. Many school districts are having difficulty purchasing the equipment and supplies necessary to ensure that students and staff can remain safe inside of school buildings. By requiring the State and the Department of Education to coordinate the purchase of COVID-19 related goods and services by school districts, this legislation will streamline the purchasing process and help school districts obtain essential personal protective equipment and other supplies.
