Extends deadline for completion and filing of annual audit of school district 2019-2020 school year

A 4603 (Dancer) NJEA understands the challenges school districts have faced throughout the pandemic and the postponement of certain deadlines. However, we believe that the annual fiscal audit of school districts for the 2019-2020 school year should be conducted on schedule as per current law. It is critical that our school districts have this information as soon as possible so that they can begin to finalize their budgets. Extending the audit deadlines would make this process far more difficult, while also negatively impacting the timing of contract negotiations and labor relations.
