Requires DOE to establish Alternate Route Interstate Reciprocity Pilot Program

A 4783 (Quijano, Lampitt, Jasey) NJEA supports this pilot program to grant reciprocity to out-of-state teachers.  Reciprocity will increase the supply of teachers in New Jersey, and creating the pilot program outlined in the bill will allow the state to assess the impact of the new standards to receive New Jersey certification for teachers from other states.  NJEA appreciates the sponsors’ work to help address these demand issues, while maintaining our state’s commitment to bringing the best and brightest into our schools.
