Changes effective date of Garden State Health Plan; exempts certain charter and renaissance schools from certain healthcare plan requirements; requires certain negotiations over certain health care costs

A 5825 (Coughlin) NJEA supports this common-sense bill to help the implementation of recent changes to school employee health insurance options. This bill will help school districts and employees share in the savings and require that employees are at the table whenever a negotiation is needed to mitigate any changes. NJEA thanks the sponsor for working with NJEA to ensure the bill keeps the voices of workers at the forefront.
