ACR 215 SCR 163: Urges Congress to Reauthorize “Violence Against Women Act.”

ACR 215 SCR 163

Urges Congress to Reauthorize “Violence Against Women Act.”

ACR215 (Carter, Murphy, Vainieri Huttle) SCR163 (Singleton, Ruiz) For too long, Congress has let this common sense law lapse without explanation.  This law has been consistently moved in prior sessions of Congress without issue, yet political infighting is keeping it from moving forward.  As a result, this gridlock is leaving critical programs without funding to help women and other survivors.  Congress needs to move forward and reauthorize this critically important law.
