Establishes “New Jersey Higher Education Funding Formula Commission.”

S 1230 (Kean, Gopal) New Jersey’s institutions of higher education have been chronically underfunded and do not get their share of state funding. This has led to rising tuition costs, increasing student debt, and at the community colleges NJEA represents, has resulted in a loss of full-time faculty and student services, which hurts the neediest students. This bill will look at recommendations to better fund our colleges.
