Prohibits school district from denying admittance to student due to tardiness or violation of dress code or school uniform policy

S311 (Rice)NJEA believes that every student must be afforded an opportunity to be in school to learn.  This bill provides a common-sense measure to ensure that no students are inadvertently discouraged by school policy from attending for reasons of tardiness or for potential violations of a school uniform policy.  What’s more, the bill also preserves the school’s ability to enforce legitimate school safety concerns.  The bill strikes the appropriate balance.
