Designates February 14 of each year as “Frederick Douglass Day” in New Jersey

SJR93 (Pou)Frederick Douglass was one of the most important African-American abolitionists and human rights activists in American history. He dedicated his life to fighting racism and promoting freedom and equality for all Americans. As an organization that believes in justice and equal opportunity for all individuals, NJEA members continually work towards creating a better, fairer and more just world for our students. Therefore, we support this resolution to recognize the contributions of Fredrick Douglass to our society and designate February 14 of each year as Frederick Douglass Day in New Jersey.

NJEA urges you to SUPPORT SJR93.
