SR 69: Urges Congress to pass resolution condemning violence against historically Black colleges and universities.

SR 69 (Cunningham) NJEA believes that all students and school employees should learn and work in safe environments. The health and well-being of every individual in public schools and higher education institutions is paramount. Recently, historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) around the country have been threatened with violence. HBCUs are symbols of resilience and achievement across the nation, which often makes them targets of racial violence and hatred. It is essential that such threats of violence be strongly condemned. No student, employee or community member should have to learn, work or live under such circumstances. NJEA stands in solidarity with all HBCUs and their communities.

NJEA supports SR 69 and encourages you to do the same.
