S 279: Revises requirements and process for temporary courtesy licenses and certificates issued by State Board of Examiners, NJ Board of Nursing, and other professional and occupational licensing boards to nonresident military spouses

S 279

Revises requirements and process for temporary courtesy licenses and certificates issued by State Board of Examiners, NJ Board of Nursing, and other professional and occupational licensing boards to nonresident military spouses

S 279 (Kean) This legislation extends the timeframe for which a temporary instructional license in the state of New Jersey can be valid for nonresident military spouses holding an out-of-state teaching license. Nonresident military spouses who move from state to state might need the additional time to meet these requirements and obtain a New Jersey teaching certificate.

Therefore, NJEA supports S279.
