Requires boards of education to provide special education and related services to certain students exceeding age of eligibility for special education and related services
S 3434 (Addiego, Sweeney) NJEA supports this bill as it represents an opportunity for our special education students to get additional transition services due to the health emergency. Allowing individualized education plans to avail themselves of additional services will ensure that the best interests of students continue to be served. NJEA also thanks the sponsor for amending the bill to allow the state to use recent federal funding to cover these services.
