Extends deadline for completion and filing of annual audit report of school district for 2020-2021 school year; establishes deadline for submission of Audit Summary for 2020-2021 school year

S3881 (Sarlo) NJEA understands the challenges school districts have faced throughout the pandemic and the postponement of certain deadlines. However, we believe that the annual fiscal audit of school districts should be conducted on schedule as per current law. It is critical that our school districts have this information as soon as possible so that they can begin to finalize their budgets. Extending the audit deadlines would make this process far more difficult, while also negatively impacting the timing of contract negotiations and labor relations.

NJEA opposes S 3881 and asks that you do the same.
