Allows alternative evaluation in place of basic skills testing requirements for certain teacher certification

A 6000 (Verrelli, Lampitt, Carter) S 4074 (Ruiz): NJEA supports this common-sense measure to have multiple pathways available for career and technical education teachers with advanced standing to demonstrate proficiency besides simply a commissioner-required test in basic skills. These are educators who have already demonstrated that they bring essential expertise to benefit the students in these programs. Allowing this flexibility will ensure our students will continue to receive an excellent CTE training and have access to a wide range of experts.
